Pastor Kermit Youngdale of Chisago City, a friend of the deceased, gave a short message. Mrs. Herbert Bloom served as the organ and accompanied the soloist Mr. Vernon Johnson. Bearers were Henry Johnson, Oscar Johnson, Ervin Lindberg, Edwin Johnson, George Erlandson and Martin Gustofson. Interment was in the Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery. Mrs. Amanda Victoria Johnson was born in Aageram Parish, Blekinge Lan on March 4, 1883; daughter of Peter and Maria Carlson. They came to America and North Branch on May 15, 1890. She was confirmed in the Trinity Lutheran Church of North Branch on April 15, 1900l if which church she is a member. Shewas married to Chas. E. Johnson on Nov. 6, 1901. They settled on a farm east of North Branch where she continued to live until recent months. Mrs. Johnson had been in failing health for several months but continued to maintain her home until July of this year when she went to live at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ruth Sutter, where she passed away on November 11 at the age of 80years, 8 months and 7 days. A kind, loving mother leaves to mourn her passing; 4 sons: Bernard and Hilbert of North Branch; Albert of Lindstrom; Arthur of Bowstring; 4 daughters: Mrs. Agnes Pearson and Mrs. Sylvia Olson of St. Paul, Mrs. Ruth Sutter of Lindstrom and Mrs. Melba Jensen of Grand Rapids: 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She leaves 1 brother, Manfred Carlson of North Branch: 1 sister Mrs. Andriette Anderson of Taylors Falls. - North Branch Review November 21, 1963
